Mike’s Helmet
Mixed media
Mike Fingal was a crew chief on a Michigan Air National Guard F-4 Phantom when I painted his flight line helmet. The chickenhawk is saying, “OK, are you going to leave peacefully or do I have to muss ya up!” referring to the F-4 he was trying to launch. He retired out a Major. He passed away in July 2012.
Miss you, Mike.
